The Tooth Fairy's Summer Reading List

A summer reading list for kids created by the one and only Tooth Fairy!? That's right!

The Tooth Fairy wants to make sure you keep up with your reading and dental health education over the summer. Check out her recommendations for books below!

Get Up and Go!

Did you know that staying active not only helps keep your body healthy, but can actually help keep your teeth and gums healthy as well? Oral health plays a huge role in overall health. That’s why the Tooth Fairy loves the book, Get Up and Go! by Nancy Carlson. This gleeful story encourages readers both young and old to get up and move.

Appropriate for ages 3 and up.

I Will Not Ever Eat a Tomato

The foods we eat play an important role in the health of our teeth. Not only does sugar consumption lead to an increased risk of cavities, but acidic foods can also lead to tooth erosion. In order to maintain a healthy smile, it is important to consume a balanced diet that includes foods from all major food groups. The Tooth Fairy loves the book I Will Not Ever Eat a Tomato by Lauren Child because it encourages young readers to try new foods!

Tallulah the Tooth Fairy CEO

Being the Tooth Fairy is no easy task! In this fun story, young readers experience a fresh spin on what daily life is like for a Tooth Fairy CEO. Tallulah the Tooth Fairy CEO by Tamara Pizzoli and Federico Fabiani is sure to keep readers entertained all while learning about teamwork and problem solving.

The Tooth Book

Our teeth are very important! They help us to do so many things like talk, eat, sing and smile! One of the Tooth Fairy’s favorite books is The Tooth Book by Dr. Seuss. This book explores teeth of all different shapes and sizes. It teaches young readers how teeth grow and how to keep them super, duper healthy!

Dentist

The Tooth Fairy understands that new experiences can sometimes be scary, that is why she loves Dentist by Jess Stockham. This story is a great conversation starter between grownups and kids about going to the dentist.

Peppa Pig: Dentist Trip

Regular trips to the dentist are necessary to keep teeth healthy and promote good oral hygiene habits. The Tooth Fairy knows that visiting the dentist can be a bit scary for young patients, that is why she recommends Peppa Pig: Dentist Trip. Peppa encourages her little brother not to be afraid of the dentist and shows him that a trip to the dentist can be fun!

It is not only hilarious, it is full of fun tooth facts that the Tooth Fairy hopes kids will share with their friends.
