    FAQ

    • Does the program have a cost for educators?

      +
      -
The program is free to educators.

    • Is the program appropriate for my grade?

      +
      -
The program is appropriate for kindergarten, first grade and second grade students.

    • Will the Tooth Fairy visit my school to conduct the lesson virtually or in person?

      +
      -
The Tooth Fairy is very busy teaching people of all ages about the importance of dental health, and unfortunately cannot visit every classroom and youth organization. Since she can’t visit everyone, the Tooth Fairy’s visits are available via a free downloadable video (available on our website) produced especially for educators to use in the classroom with their students. If you are also interested in the Tooth Fairy visiting your classroom, please contact us at hello@thetoothfairyexperience.com and we will schedule a visit based on availability.

    • Do you have additional dental health education resources for classrooms?

      +
      -
We are continually building curriculum and will send a message to teachers and school nurses who sign up for the program as new videos, lesson plans, and worksheets become available. If you’re interested in learning more about dental health, you can visit the Delta Dental blog (www.DeltaDentalWA.com/blog) and the Arcora Foundation’s Mighty Mouth campaign (www.TheMightyMouth.org) to learn about a variety of topics.

    • Why is Delta Dental of Washington doing this program?

      +
      -
Recent studies show that more than half of the state’s third graders have experienced tooth decay. As a mission-driven not-for-profit dental benefits organization, we see the need to educate kids at a young age to help reduce the incidence of pediatric tooth decay. Delta Dental has enlisted the Tooth Fairy to teach kids (and their parents/caregivers) about the importance of healthy smiles, to improve pediatric oral health, and to encourage people to use their dental preventive care benefits.

    • Who developed the materials for this program?

      +
      -
The materials were developed in coordination with dentists, teachers and school nurses, and packaged in a manner that makes dental health education interactive and fun for kids. All materials are dentist, teacher and school nurse reviewed.

    • What if I have additional questions regarding the program?

      +
      -
Please reach out to us at hello@thetoothfairyexperience.com with your questions and we’re happy to assist you.
